About me
I am a Model Maker & Designer recently graduated from
Birmingham City University, where I studied a BA Hons in Design for Theatre, Performance and Events.
I have a passion for building and making sets and props, I am fascinated by how things work and love breaking things down to learn how they work, I love working with new materials to discover different attributes and apply this to model making.
My main passion is for stop motion animation, in particular puppet animation, making inanimate objects come alive with personalities, hopes and dreams. And designing miniature worlds for them to occupy and exist
inside of. Stop motion for me combines all of my passions into one: telling a story through puppets, textiles and sewing, creating miniature sets and models, and film..
My skills include model, set and costume construction, hand and machine sewing, pattern cutting, technical drawings, Sketch up and Photoshop, theatrical lighting, scenic painting, exhibition design and workshop practice. I have also gained experience within film design, production and editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
